Laziness

Tonight, Chris and I were sitting on the couch (I won't say for how long) watching television. I began to feel lazy after awhile, felt the urge to exercise a little, then stated my complaints and plan of action to Chris. Then ensued a short discussion over our lack of energy and motivation to be active (or as some call it-laziness). Just before getting up, Chris asks me, "Hey, do you know where the remote is? I can't find it." I say, "No, I haven't even touched it today."

After a few minutes of piddling around, wasting time before I "exercise", I begin looking for the remote. Of course, in the most likely place: the cracks of the couch. I look in one and Chris looks in another-the one situated right next to his left thigh. He begins to laugh hysterically, and holds up the deviant remote.

So naturally I ask, "Did you look there already?" Chris avoids my question. Naturally, I then ask, "Did you even look for the remote (right next to your leg) before asking me if I knew where it was?" Chris thus proved right that we are among the laziest people that I know (besides my retired patients who claim they don't have time to do 5 minutes of exercise everyday)....
