Buggers

Last night I saw a lightning bug for the first time this year.
That means summer's here!
Hallelujah!
I love the sun....
It makes me happy.

Laziness

Tonight, Chris and I were sitting on the couch (I won't say for how long) watching television. I began to feel lazy after awhile, felt the urge to exercise a little, then stated my complaints and plan of action to Chris. Then ensued a short discussion over our lack of energy and motivation to be active (or as some call it-laziness). Just before getting up, Chris asks me, "Hey, do you know where the remote is? I can't find it." I say, "No, I haven't even touched it today."

After a few minutes of piddling around, wasting time before I "exercise", I begin looking for the remote. Of course, in the most likely place: the cracks of the couch. I look in one and Chris looks in another-the one situated right next to his left thigh. He begins to laugh hysterically, and holds up the deviant remote.

So naturally I ask, "Did you look there already?" Chris avoids my question. Naturally, I then ask, "Did you even look for the remote (right next to your leg) before asking me if I knew where it was?" Chris thus proved right that we are among the laziest people that I know (besides my retired patients who claim they don't have time to do 5 minutes of exercise everyday)....

Worms

So we got our cats. One mother. One kitten. It has been tiring. I can sympathize with parents of humans, because being a parent of two cats is probably in some minute way similar. Momma, aka Ginger, or Mammy Ginger, had worms. Lots of them. Like five. Think of the earthworms that come up when it rains hard. They weren't that big, but cut one of those earthworms in three and you have what came out in her, ahem, stool. Should've taken a picture. You know, for reference....
