Temptations abound

I'm sticking to my resolution so far. At the end of the first week, I have lost 3.5 pounds. It has been very difficult at night, because I have been working late this week. I usually make it home with just enough time to eat a small dinner, but no time for snacking before 8 o'clock comes along. In one of my first blogs, I wrote about discipline. As silly as it sounds, making this resolution is helping me to be more disciplined. It's interesting that I have time to think about and do a lot of other things when I'm not so preoccupied with, "What am I going to eat next?".
My downfall is mint chocolate. It's everywhere around the holidays. Frango mints at work, Mint Meltaways at home (thanks mom!), peppermint chocolate soymilk at home (that's my own fault)....These are my favorite indulgence. But, in keeping my resolution, I have allowed myself a little everyday in order to not binge all at once when it gets the best of me. The one tasty treat that I have missed this holiday season is peppermint ice cream. Maybe after working out I'll scrape up some change and go to Cold Stone....

Three.five pounds! Wow! That's great! At that rate, by the end of the quarter you'll have lost thirty-five pounds. Super! I went to the gym to work out last night. I'm lifting on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday now. Monday is a heavy day, Wednesday is a light day with all those baby-work-outs I didn't do on Monday, like hamstrings and quads and adducters and abducters and neck and toe press et c., and then Friday's a heavy day again before the weekend, in which I have time to rest it off. Ja! What a comment!

See ya,
Slim
